Several people have tried to turn me on to WEEN, personally I just don't get their music, but hey, to each their own...

Again, to each their own, but to suggest that Todd Sheaffer is "just another guy singing with a bluegrass twang" is, IMO, laughable. Regardless of whether a person is a RRE fan or not, I think that most would agree that he's a helluva' songwriter.

Agree that Wilco is the shizzle--I was a fan of Uncle Tupelo when I was going to college in Atlanta back in the 80's.

I admit that i havent listened to much but mainly because they sound like a bluegrass jam band thing like sci which for me a little goes a long way. I like the violin but the vocal tone doesnt do it for me so its hard to be affected by the lyrics. I dont see whats laughable about that. A lot of people love them but ive never heard anything that moved me. As for WEEN i think you have to be sort of twisted to get them. Theyre weird in the way that you cant take them seriously and yet they can pull off just about every genre
